LIVE SCAN SERVICES
The SP&I Group Inc. Investigations Division
Live Scan is inkless electronic fingerprinting. The fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the Department of Justice for completion of a criminal record check. The Live Scan technology replaces the process of recording fingerprint patterns through a rolling process using ink. Digitizing the fingerprint images enables them to be transmitted electronically to the Dept. of Justice in a matter of seconds, instead of the days required to send hard copy fingerprint cards through the mail. Additionally the Dept. of Justice will coordinate other processing resulting from the automated submission of fingerprints, including forwarding the fingerprints to the FBI (if required).
We are a duly authorized Department of Justice and FBI certified fingerprinting service provider. We can electronically capture and submit fingerprints for licensure, certification, volunteer, job, business permit, record review, immigration clearance or licenses and /or employment purposes. All you need to bring is your completed Live Scan Fingerprint request form, valid ID such as driver's license or passport on the day of your Live Scan.
Fees: Our live scan fingerprint rolling fee is $16. Depending on the type of application, additional DOJ, FBI fees may apply. You can pay using Cash, Debit card, Credit cards such as Master Card, Visa, Discover, and Money Order.
